Purchasing Coordinator

In your role as Purchasing Coordinator, you will collaborate with the Supervisor on ordering and processing purchase orders and products for the stores. You will actively engage with both internal and external partners, supporting the department's functional goals to ensure SLA delivery.

Your Role:
  • Ensure compliance of required inputs from category management teams.
  • Create and maintain vendor profiles in MMS systems.
  • Coordinate with Pricing and Finance in order to complete the setup of vendor profiles into corporate systems.
  • Provide feedback to supervisor and manager which will enhance processes for creation/updates to vendor records.
  • Ensure store connect emails are actioned swiftly, within expected SLA.
  • Redirect stores connect tickets with internal stakeholder as needed.
  • Manage the Order Management Mailbox and MS Teams Approvals.
  • Generate reports to aid team and internal partners in daily ordering processes.
  • Resolve PO issues as they arise through the logistics team.
  • Work with the Manager, Replenishment Planning to improve reporting capabilities and outputs for the Order Management Team.
  • Assist the supervisor and order management in coordination and execution of emergency protocols.
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Commerce or Business Administration Degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications; Excel, Access, /MS Teams.
  • Basic understanding of retail or logistics and supply chain operations is an asset.
  • Proven organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service.
  • Strong alpha-numeric keyboarding skills;
  • Knowledge of Retek is an asset
