Pricing Coordinator

As Pricing Coordinator with The North West Company (NWC), you wil provide support for the execution of pricing changes for the Northern Canadian Retail locations. In your role, you will be responsible for loading pricing changes in the NWC pricing system, loading data into databases and reports, and making systematic changes under the direction of the Strategic Pricing Manager.

Your Role:

  • Collaborate with Pricing Analysts and Category Managers to ensure pricing accuracy and timely implementation.
  • Enter all price changes in the system, and send to stores; review for any anomalies and report to the Pricing Analyst.
  • Ensure all pricing changes are captured properly in the pricing applications.
  • Communicate with Category Managers to resolve issues causing pricing conflicts.
  • Perform system maintenance for held prices and new item setup;
  • Review data for accuracy and enter into reports or databases; enter data from vendors into appropriate database.
  • Pull data and reports from the pricing system as needed.
  • Run weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports; review for accuracy and distribute as required.
  • Act as the point of contact for questions in relation to the reports.
  • Assist in reviewing and implementing price changes.
  • Provide recommendations in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and process mapping.
  • Travel to stores as required.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 1 -2 years’ analytical and data entry experience.
  • Detail oriented while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, systems, and industry best practices, and apply them.
  • Must be able to effectively work independently as well as within a team in order to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
