In your role as the Data Maintenance Coordinator at The North West Company (TNWC); you will be accountable for the collection, compilation, and preparation of vendor item data for input into TNWC’s central data systems. Working closely with both Category Management teams and external vendor partners, you will ensure that the company’s data requirements align with ongoing business needs. Additionally, you may be tasked with monitoring various team mailboxes and assigning tasks to team resources as needed.

Your Role:
Work with Category Management teams and Vendor partners to collect and compile item data for input into our central data systems.
Convert business need to internal data requirements as intermediary liaison.
Enforce NWC item data standards throughout, while balancing needs of business.
Coordinate ongoing vendor item data updates, and other related item maintenance tasks.
Monitor inbound data maintenance tasks, prioritize, and assign tasks to appropriate team resource as based on context of task and accountabilities of team resources.
Maintain system knowledge through continuous learning and development to support role fulfillment.
Engage with key stakeholders to align on changing data practice or system enhancements that would impact ability to resolve data issues.
Provide recommendations to process adjustment in light of changing business needs.
Travelling to stores required on an as-needed basis.
Role will have incidental financial scope through ongoing support of business needs.
Desired Skills & Abilities:
Minimum 1-2 years office/professional service experience.
Retail experience considered an asset.
Intermediary MS Office skills with a focus on Excel & Outlook.
Strong organizational, planning and prioritizing skills.
Demonstrated ability to work within strict timelines.
Detail oriented while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service.
Certificate or diploma in a marketing or administrative related program considered an asset.
