Data Maintenance Coordinator

In your role as Data Maintenance Coordinator at The North West Company (NWC) you will facilitate the timely and accurate completion of item maintenance tasks, and ensure they are completed within the department standard timelines and with a high degree of accuracy.

Your Role:
  • Coordinate vendor catalogue updates, and related item maintenance tasks;
  • Monitor inbound item maintenance tasks, prioritize, and distribute amongst Item File Maintenance Clerks;
  • Coordinate the gathering of information for discontinued items to compile and distribute to the Category Teams; collect and organize responses and communicate completed Newsflash to the stores as required;
  • Provide guidance to Item File Maintenance Clerks to ensure vendor data is set up following defined standards and processes; and,
  • Work in conjunction with vendors, Category Teams, and pricing assistants to identify and solve any HQ item set-up issues, and coordinate necessary changes at HQ.


Desired Skills & Abilities:
  • Minimum 1 years’ office experience is required;
  • Previous alpha numeric data entry experience;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook;
  • Knowledge of HQ and Retek systems is considered to be an asset;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and assignments simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines;
  • Proven organizational, planning and prioritizing skills;
  • Detail conscious while maintaining a high degree of accuracy; and,
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service.
