The North West Company (NWC) is looking to fill a Scanning Compliance Specialist position at our Winnipeg Logistics Service Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving cargo scanning compliance across distribution centres, hubs, and NCR stores to ensure accurate data capture that supports Forecasting & Replenishment and overall supply chain data integrity.

Your Role:
- Develop, review, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to cargo scanning across distribution centres, hubs, and NCR stores to ensure consistency from FOB through store receiving.
- Identify gaps in shipping and receiving processes that impact scanning compliance and work with cross-functional stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions and measure results.
- Ensure all applicable staff are trained annually on current scanning SOPs and support the development of communication processes for scanning outages or concerns.
- Continuously monitor scanning compliance at the Winnipeg Logistics Service Centre, third-party distribution centres, hubs, and stores.
- Conduct root cause analysis on scanning compliance issues using available data to determine whether issues are process-, system-, or human-related.
- Develop, implement, and measure corrective actions to improve scanning accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and maintain load audit processes for WLSC and third-party distribution centres to validate shipping and receiving scan accuracy.
- Create and maintain reporting to monitor scanning compliance, communicate results to department managers, and recommend improvements.
- Establish and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) by department.
- Work cross-functionally with Store Operations to improve store-level scan rates by identifying challenges, supporting store managers, and recommending process, space, or equipment improvements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in warehousing, transportation, or distribution operations.
- Post-secondary education, with a preference for those with a major in Supply Chain and Logistics would be considered an asset.
- Ability to travel up to 50–60 days per year (approximately one week per month).
- Experience monitoring key performance metrics and making data-driven business adjustments.
- Experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Understanding of the TNWC transportation network and transportation modes is considered an asset.
