Replenishment Coordinator

In your role as the Replenishment Coordinator for The North West Company (NWC), you will support replenishment activities for select food, general merchandise, and supplies vendors to support our Northern Canadian Retail (NCR) and Giant Tiger (GT) store inventory requirements. This role involves executing orders, monitoring inventory and fill rates, generating reports, and assisting the team to meet service level and inventory targets.  You will also provide administrative support and inventory reporting to both the replenishment and category teams.

Your Role:        
  • Utilize forecast information provided by third party demand planners to execute replenishment orders and support the team in meeting inventory and fill rate targets.
  • Collaborate with category managers and distribution centre partners to optimize product and vendor performance.
  • Generate routine reports, including obsolescence, Fill Rate, and weekly close-dated reports, to inform planning.
  • Maintain an in stock position while meeting defined service level and inventory targets.
  • Monitor seasonal programs and special inventory requirements, escalating performance issues as needed.
  • Provide support for replenishment and category teams to aid in actioning inventory issues.
  • Serve as primary contact for store and account inquiries, and manage departmental mailboxes and Store Connect tickets.
  • Places orders for non-inventory items to meet agreed upon timelines.

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field is considered an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word and intermediate Excel skills; experience with Access, AS400, Retek, or SQL is an asset.
  • Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to provide superior customer service.
  • Must be detail conscious and demonstrate a high level of accuracy.
  • Analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks while meeting deadlines.
