Supervisor - CMF(Evenings)

Status: Regular Full Time
Shift: Sunday to Thursday (5 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.)

In your role as Supervisor, Evenings – CMF, you are accountable for leading evening shift operations at Crescent Multi Foods (CMF). You will provide hands-on supervision of warehouse and office staff, ensuring efficient operations, compliance with food safety standards, and timely distribution of goods.

This role plays a key part in maintaining operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and a safe, productive work environment.

Role:
  • Assesses and delegates all workloads for the evening shift including purchase orders received, order picking, and shipping and receiving.
  • Maintains accurate inventory levels including cycle counts, quality control, inventory adjustments, returns, and shrink/waste control.
  • Opens and closes the facility including pre and post shift inspections, locking/unlocking of all doors and arming/disarming of alarms.
  • Ensures the maintenance of the building and equipment are kept up to a satisfactory and safe level.
  • Works in coordination with the supervisory team to coordinate all pertinent information and production flow between shifts.
  • Communicates company directives such as programs, policies and procedures and maintains communication within the team through tools such as pre-shift meetings.
  • Trains, develops and motivates employees and manages employee performance with the guidance of the Department Manager as required.
  • Maintains communication with the Department Manager on major issues such as workplace incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must possess previous order picking, and shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse distribution environment.
  • Previous experience working with perishable grocery products is preferred.
  • Previous experience operating powered equipment is required.
  • Previous leadership experience a definite asset.
  • Must possess computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate workloads.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to deal with employee concerns in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a team or independently.
  • Must be available to work days, evening and weekends as required to support departmental requirements.
  • Knowledge of company shipping routes an asset.
