In your role as an Architectural Technologist at The North West Company (TNWC), you will play a critical role in the design and construction process by bridging architectural concepts with their practical implementation. You will translate design ideas into detailed technical drawings, models, and specifications while ensuring compliance with building codes, internal store standards, and project requirements. This role works closely with architects, engineers, contractors, project managers, and internal stakeholders to support projects from concept through construction.

Your Role
Assist in developing architectural designs by analyzing building codes, space requirements, and site conditions.
Produce manual and computer-aided design (CAD) drawings, construction documents, specifications, and material take-offs.
Create architectural and digital models to visualize design intent and communicate concepts effectively to project teams and stakeholders.
Prepare accurate contract and bidding drawings to support procurement and construction phases.
Act as a liaison between internal teams, architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution from concept to completion.
Participate in coordination meetings and site reviews as required.
Ensure all design outputs comply with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Ensure designs align with internal store standards
Review and comment on external designs for compliance issues.
Desired Skills & Experience
Degree or diploma in Architectural technology or Associated Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience using CAD and design technologies (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM).
Highly proficient in Autodesk Suite of software including , 2D,3D and Revit modeling.
Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methods.
Proven ability to produce detailed technical drawings and architectural documentation.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent organizational, time management, and coordination abilities.
Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
