Advertising Specialist

In your role as Advertising Specialist at The North West Company (TNWC), you will help build and execute customer facing marketing campaigns, driving marketing goals to reach target audiences.

Working across digital and traditional platforms, you’ll create and deliver content that resonates with  Northern customers, focused on campaign performance metrics like reach and engagement, with ROMI/ROAS (where applicable) always top of mind. Your work will include marketing planning, stakeholder engagement, and campaign performance analysis — ensuring opportunities are captured with continuous improvement for future campaigns.

Your Role:

Development
  • Participate in Marketing and Seasonal Planning conversations, track activities, and manage timelines and approvals.
  • Oversee the marketing intake process, align with requestors on scope, KPIs, and budgets.
  • Engage with stakeholder groups to improve existing and new programs.
  • Partner with Operations and Store Advisory Council to refine and localize campaigns.
  • Prepare PowerPoint decks for planning meetings and post-mortem reviews.
  • Support budget inputs and maintain reporting throughout the marketing cycle.
  • Help set program goals and ensure all stakeholders are aligned on campaign expectations.
Executing
  • Work with Marketing and stakeholder teams to define timelines, deliverables, and action plans.
  • Provide regular updates to the Management team on campaign progress.
  • Use Workfront to track campaign timelines, approvals, and deliverables.
  • Ensure accurate, timely communication on campaign launches.
Reporting and Analysis
  • Complete post-campaign performance reviews.
  • Track and analyze KPIs to identify campaign successes and improvement areas.
  • Develop performance reports and insights through Workfront to drive process improvement.
  • Innovate and test new approaches to traditional and digital marketing efforts.

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • 3–5 years of experience in digital or traditional media marketing, including campaign creation and deployment.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Communications, or Marketing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive mindset with a desire to innovate and challenge the status quo.
